Email Marketing Manager

Flytographer is looking for an experienced and results-driven Email Marketing Manager who excels in strategic thinking and technical execution. In this role, you’ll take full ownership of our email marketing initiatives, from auditing past campaigns to designing and executing innovative strategies with minimal guidance. You'll analyze historical performance, create targeted email campaigns, optimize email automations, and craft compelling copy that resonates with our audience. The ideal candidate will be a perfect blend of strategic vision, analytical mindset, technical expertise, and exceptional copywriting skills. Proficiency with Klaviyo is essential, and a sharp eye for design is a must. Your goal and measurements of success will be to expand Flytographer's email subscriber base, enhance open and click rates, drive customer retention, and ultimately boost sales to support our long-term growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Email Strategy Development: Create and implement robust email marketing strategies that support broader business objectives and drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Email Campaign Management: Design, develop, and execute email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo, including promotional, transactional, and lifecycle emails. Blend creative ideas with technical execution to deliver high-impact campaigns. 
  • Copywriting and Design: Craft compelling email copy and put together visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines and resonate with our target audience. 
  • List Growth and Segmentation: Implement strategies to achieve a consistent 5% monthly growth rate and maintain a healthy email list. Utilize advanced segmentation techniques to target specific customer groups with personalized content that drives engagement. 
  • Automation & Flow Management: Set up and manage automated email workflows, including welcome series, abandoned cart emails, and re-engagement campaigns. 
  • Performance Measurement: Monitor and analyze email campaign and flow performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI. Use data-driven insights to improve email strategies and tactics and contribute to overall top-line and bottom-line growth.
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, and calls-to-action to optimize email effectiveness and engagement. Analyze test results to determine what resonates best with our audience and inform future email designs.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team and other departments to ensure a cohesive email strategy that supports overarching marketing initiatives and business objectives. Manage external relationships with designers, freelancers, and other contributors.
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all email campaigns comply with legal requirements (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) and follow industry best practices for deliverability and engagement.

Who you are:

  • You have proven experience managing an email marketing program for a consumer brand; experience in a marketplace platform or travel industry is an asset
  • You have demonstrated success in growing, segmenting, and engaging with a large email marketing list
  • You have a thorough understanding of the customer journey and how to map your content and messaging to the unique needs of each stage
  • You’re skilled at creating and designing various emails from scratch – from welcome emails, abandon cart emails and drip campaigns to transactional emails and newsletters
  • You excel at writing and proofreading
  • You have working knowledge of graphic design tools such as Canva; HTML knowledge is an asset
  • You have a keen ability to derive actionable insights from data and know how to use email levers to move the needle on overall business objectives
  • You possess current knowledge of email regulations, best practices, and compliance in United States and Canada (e.g. CASL) 
  • You see yourself as a team player with a “no task is too small” attitude and you enjoy working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • You exhibit a high degree of ownership and responsibility, are organized, and take a process and data-driven approach to all you do

We’re looking for our next Concierge to help people around the world “celebrate their stories” through photography.

Position Summary:

The Concierge role is a customer service position that is an integral part of the Flytographer team. Reporting to the Concierge Team Lead, they are the first point-of-contact for customers and responsible for overseeing their journey with Flytographer—from booking their shoot and preparing for the day, to delivering photos and following up for feedback. As a liaison between photographers, customers and our product team, the Concierge will bring unique insight to the product team on how to optimize the customer and photographer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • You will bring a spirit of innovation, curiosity and growth mindset to your work of interacting directly with customers and photographers
  • You will practice service and hospitality as a key growth and sales strategy, and own customer experience journeys through completion, while upholding company values

  • Formulate learnings during customer and photographer interactions to develop recommendations for improving the booking experience and work with the team and larger company to implement changes.
  • Analyze team workflows and processes to identify and recommend improvements for the most effective use of resources and tools. Work with the team and team leads to implement recommendations
  • Liaise with management regarding issues relevant to this group and put forward solutions to overcome obstacles to success.
